The Maverick contradiction, live on victorinox.com

The Maverick Large is the one Victorinox family where the manufacturer's own website argues with itself, and both pages are live. The current-generation 242007 page prints Lug width 21 mm [21]; the earlier-generation 241697 page prints Lug width 22 mm [22], for the same 43mm case diameter and the same Maverick Large name. This is not a typo that survived in one locale: the 2026 catalog sheets for the redesigned Maverick are 21mm [9], while hands-on reviews of the pre-redesign automatic measure 22mm [25]. The split follows the reference number: 241xxx Maverick Large is 22mm, 242xxx is 21mm. The practical damage is real because a 22mm strap in 21mm lugs (or the reverse) is a millimeter of force on each side, and both generations are common on the secondhand market at prices where nobody expects a sizing surprise. Read the caseback before the strap listing, and if the reference is missing, measure: this is exactly the watch the 30-second method exists for.
