Oris band size chart by model

Oris is the friendliest brand in this series to size, for one unusual reason: the strap width is printed inside your reference number. In 01 733 7707 4354-07 5 20 45, a 40mm Divers Sixty-Five, that "20" between the strap code and the buckle code is the lug width in millimeters, and it matches the Interhorn Width line Oris prints in the Technical Details of every product page [1]. So while the first page of search results mostly offers vague family-level guidance, one retailer guide putting the BC3 at 22mm [35] and another spreading the whole Aquis line between 18 and 24mm [36], the watch on your wrist already knows the answer. This table reads it off: 27 model families checked against oris.ch spec pages, 23 of them with an independent second source, 4 carried by the Oris spec system alone and flagged as such, and the rows nobody has verified properly listed as refused rather than guessed.

Quick answers: Aquis Date 41.5mm takes 22mm, 39.5mm takes 21mm, 36.5mm takes 18mm. Aquis 43.5mm takes 24mm on the pre-2023 case and 23mm on the redesigned Calibre 400 case. Divers Sixty-Five: 40mm takes 20mm, 38mm takes 19mm, 36mm takes 17mm, 42mm takes 21mm. Big Crown Pointer Date: 40mm takes 20mm, 38mm takes 19mm, 36mm takes 17mm, Original Pointer Date 36mm takes 18mm. ProPilot Big Date 41mm takes 20mm, ProPilot Chronograph takes 22mm, ProPilot X takes 20mm. BC3 Day Date 40 takes 20mm, BC3 Advanced 42 takes 22mm. Rectangular takes 19mm. Artelier Small Second Date 40 takes 21mm.

Read the width off your reference number first

Every current Oris reference follows the pattern 01 733 7707 4354-07 5 20 45. After the dash, the segments are: strap material code (5 leather, 8 bracelet, 4 rubber, 3 textile, 6 Cervo Volante deer leather, 7 titanium bracelet), then the strap width in millimeters, then the buckle or clasp code. That "20" is the interhorn width, and we checked it against the Technical Details block on every oris.ch product page in this chart: 01 751 7761 4065-07 3 20 05LC is a 20mm ProPilot Big Date [16], 01 733 7732 4157-07 8 21 05PEB is a 21mm Aquis Date 39.5 [4], 01 754 7749 4064-07 5 17 67 is a 17mm Big Crown Pointer Date 36 [12]. Two uses for this. One: any chart that contradicts the reference number printed in its own listing is wrong, including ours, and you should trust the number. Two: the code settles ambiguous model names. The Big Crown Pointer Date 36 and the Big Crown Original Pointer Date 36 are both 36mm watches in the current catalog, but the first takes 17mm [12] and the second takes 18mm [13], and only the reference distinguishes them.

The chart: 27 rows

The Interhorn width column is the figure printed on oris.ch product pages, where Oris calls the lug width the Interhorn Width. Because Oris runs one spec system across all its locale storefronts, a dealer reprint of an oris.ch Technical Details block is the same manufacturer data and counts as a manufacturer source here; genuinely independent confirmations (spec databases, strap makers, launch coverage, measured reviews) are the second leg. The width digits in every reference below were checked against the printed width, and they agree on all 27 rows. Four rows marked "Oris spec system only" rest on multiple oris.ch reference pages agreeing with each other plus the reference-code check, with no independent second found yet; they are published because the manufacturer evidence is multi-page and internally consistent, and each says so in its own row.

The Aquis 43.5mm changed width mid-run, same case size

The trap that catches even people who read spec sheets. The Aquis Date Calibre 400 43.5mm launched in 2020 on the existing 43.5mm case with 24mm lugs [14], and when Oris redesigned the Aquis Date 43.5 in 2023 the case stayed 43.5mm but the interhorn width dropped to 23mm [3]. Both generations are in circulation side by side, several limited editions sit on the older case, and family-level guidance collapses them into one number. The reference prefix separates them cleanly: 01 400 7763 is the 24mm generation, 01 400 7790 is the 23mm generation, and the width digits in each reference confirm it. If you are buying straps for a 43.5mm Aquis, read the code off the caseback before anything else. While you are there, note that the Aquis GMT Date 43.5mm runs 24mm [10] while the New York Harbor Limited Edition II, on the newer 43.5mm case, runs 23mm [50], so "43.5mm Aquis" is never a complete answer.

The Big Crown Pointer Date comes in four widths

Oris's signature watch spans 17mm to 20mm across its current sizes, a wider spread than most brands manage in one family. The 40mm takes 20mm [30], the 38mm takes 19mm [32], the 36mm takes 17mm [12], and the separately-cataloged Original Pointer Date 36mm takes 18mm [13]. The 17mm width on the regular 36mm is the one that frustrates owners: it is an odd size with thin strap selection, and Delugs built its Big Crown guide around it [51]. The Cervo Volante editions, Oris's deer-leather collaborations, are 38mm Pointer Dates at 19mm on oris.ch [53], and Oris's own replacement deer-leather straps for them are cut to 19mm [52]. The Calibre 403 version of the 38mm is also 19mm [32]. Nothing in this family can be ordered safely by case size alone.

Rows we refused to publish

Single-source rows stay out even when the one source is Oris. The Artelier Small Second Pointer Date 42mm: oris.ch prints 22mm, but the only seconds we could find are reprints of that same spec block, so it waits. The Holstein Edition 2026 Artelier: only Oris's own page publishes the 20mm width so far. The Aquis Date Diamonds 36mm at 18mm [7]: catalog-only, no second. And four rows above, the 23mm Aquis redesign, the Divers Sixty-Five 36mm, the Big Crown Pointer Date 36mm's delugs-family second aside, and the Artelier Complication, sit deliberately on the Oris spec system alone, multiple oris.ch references agreeing with the coded width but no independent measurement published yet; they are marked in their rows so you can weigh them accordingly. We would rather leave a visible gap a reader can measure than fill it with a number we cannot back twice.

Where the incumbent guides go wrong

Three specific corrections, each settled by the manufacturer page and the reference code. One strap retailer lists the BC3 Day Date 40 at 22mm [35]; oris.ch prints 20mm on the reference we pulled directly [43], and the same retailer's own BC3 rubber page prints 20mm for a sibling variant, so the 22 looks like a BC3 Advanced bleed-over. The same store's compatibility guide puts the Aquis 36 and 39.5 together at 18mm [36]; the 39.5mm is 21mm on oris.ch [4], a 3mm miss on a dive watch. And a widely-read buyer's guide prints 19mm for the Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400 40mm [27], where oris.ch, the reference code, and CNS's per-size table all say 20mm [26] [54]; 19mm is the width of the 38mm Divers Sixty-Five, so it reads like a size mixup. The pattern across all three: a real Oris width attached to the wrong model, which is exactly the error the reference-number check makes visible.

Your Oris is not in the table

Then read the reference, not the model name. The full method is in the how to measure guide, and the lug width chart puts Oris's many odd sizes, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm, 23mm, in context across brands, with the spring bar table covering the pin sizes that pair with each width. Two Oris-specific traps before you shop: the Aquis has integrated-style lugs, so thick aftermarket straps can sit proud of the case even at the correct width, and the bronze cases (Big Crown Bronze, Divers Sixty-Five bronze, Cotton Candy bronze) pair with the same widths as their steel siblings [54], so the case material never changes the number.

Related guides

Once you have the width: the band size chart sets Oris widths in context across brands, the strap taper guide explains why your 24mm Aquis bracelet ends in a 20mm clasp, and the materials guide helps pick between the rubber a Divers Sixty-Five deserves and the deer leather Oris itself uses on the Cervo Volante editions. For sibling brand charts: Seiko, Citizen, Casio, Bulova, Timex, Invicta, Michael Kors, TAG Heuer and Orient.
