Wenger band size chart by family
Wenger is a decoder brand: the strap width is printed inside the part number. Every original Wenger strap carries a 07.xxxx.xxx number whose digits 5 and 6 are the lug width, so 07.3022.031 is a 22 mm Attitude strap, 07.3021.001 a 21 mm City Active, 07.2117.010 a 17 mm City Classic and 07.3018.104 an 18 mm Sea Force [1] [3] [17] [7]. The same idea works from the caseback: the 01.xxxx.xxx case code feeds the official-dealer strap finders, the method the dealers themselves call the most reliable [2]. Below the decoder sits the full family table: the 220-part original program runs seven widths, 12, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21 and 22 mm [2] [5], with the odd 17 and 21 mm lines the strap trade understocks, and every family overlap is cross-checked against the Lug width field Wenger itself prints on wenger.ch product pages [16] [17].
The decoder: read the width off the part number
Wenger strap part numbers are structured 07.XXWW.YYY: the 07 prefix marks the strap program, the first pair after it varies by material and generation, digits 5 and 6 (WW) are the strap width, and the last three digits pick the color and material variant. Seven verified rows:
| Part number | Family | Lug width | Reading |
|---|---|---|---|
| 07.3022.031 | Attitude | 22 mm | 07.30 22 .031: digits 5 and 6 are 22 [1] |
| 07.3021.001 | City Active | 21 mm | 07.30 21 .001: digits 5 and 6 are 21 [1] |
| 07.2117.010 | City Classic | 17 mm | 07.21 17 .010: digits 5 and 6 are 17 [1] |
| 07.3018.104 | Sea Force | 18 mm | 07.30 18 .104: digits 5 and 6 are 18 [1] |
| 07.1020.039 | Executive | 20 mm | 07.10 20 .039: digits 5 and 6 are 20 [1] |
| 07.1012.001 | Vintage Classic | 12 mm | 07.10 12 .001: digits 5 and 6 are 12 [1] |
| 07.3016.103 | Field | 16 mm | 07.30 16 .103: digits 5 and 6 are 16 [1] |
The caseback code works from the other end. A caseback reading 01.1421.119 takes the 17 mm City Classic strap 07.2117.010, which the dealer listing names as the original strap for that exact reference [17]; a 01.0621.105 takes the 18 mm Sea Force 07.3018.104 [7]. The dealer strap finders accept the case code directly, and their own page copy calls this the most reliable search method [2]. Chrono24 listings tie the case codes to the watches (01.1543.106 and .110, Attitude Chronograph 44 mm) [23]. No chart or article surfaced in search publishes this decoder; it lives in dealer page text and the part numbers themselves.
The chart: 24 families, seven widths
Rows are built from the 220-item original Wenger strap program carried by the Holland Watch Group dealer network (mastersintime.com, auer.lu, hollandwatchgroup.com), all three running the identical part-number catalog with identical width facet counts: 12 mm x3, 16 mm x4, 17 mm x37, 18 mm x8, 20 mm x25, 21 mm x12, 22 mm x131 [2] [5]. Independent legs are wenger.ch product pages, whose Features tables print Lug width per reference [16] [17], plus aftermarket corroboration [22] [24]. The odd 17 and 21 mm rows are highlighted: they are the widths a generic strap search will not solve. The lug width chart covers other brands, and measuring between the lugs remains the 30-second ground truth.

Why 17 and 21 mm are the trap widths
The odd millimetre is where Wenger owners get stuck. The original program carries 37 straps at 17 mm and 12 at 21 mm, real volume, but the aftermarket band trade mostly steps from 16 to 18 and from 20 to 22: the Wenger-compatible band pages themselves summarize the range as 16 to 22 mm and stock the even steps [23]. Wenger.ch makes the 17 mm class explicit on its own pages: every 34 mm City Classic, 34 mm City Sport, 35 mm Urban Donnissima and 38 mm Metropolitan Donnissima women's watch prints Lug width 17 mm [17], and the 21 mm class belongs to City Active (07.3021.001 and 07.3121.001, both printing lug width 21 mm) [18] [12] plus the 21 mm City Classic parts (07.2021.002) [15]. If your Wenger measures 17 or 21 mm, the original 07 part from the dealer network is the safe buy; a generic 18 mm or 22 mm strap will not fit, and squeezing one damages the spring-bar seats covered in the spring bar sizes guide.
One family, several widths
Eight Wenger families span more than one width, and the name alone never tells you which. City Classic runs 17 mm (34 mm women's cases), 21 mm and 22 mm (42 mm men's) [15] [17]. Urban Classic runs 17, 20 and 22 mm. Sea Force runs 22 mm on the 43 mm men's diver and 18 mm on the 35 mm women's [8] [7]. Avenue runs 17 and 22 mm. Urban Vintage 17 and 22 mm. Edge Index and Edge Roman 18 and 22 mm. Field 16 and 20 mm. Vintage Classic 12 mm on the 27 mm women's case and 20 mm elsewhere [17]. Within a family the width tracks the case diameter, so the caseback code or the calipers settle it in seconds; the all-brand band size chart has the measuring method.
Straight mount or shaped end
Each dealer listing prints a Straight strap mount field, and on a Wenger it decides whether a generic band is even possible. Straight (yes): 07.3022.031 Attitude, 07.3021.001 City Active, 07.2117.010 City Classic; these fit any Wenger (or any watch) with a straight mount and the same width [1] [18]. Not straight: the 18 mm Sea Force 07.3018.104 and the deployment-clasp Attitude 07.3022.025; their ends are cut for specific cases and the listings say they only suit the references named [7]. A no-straight-mount watch needs the original 07 part or a model-specific aftermarket strap, whatever its width; the spring bar tool guide covers the swap.
Related guides
Once the width is decoded: the lug width chart indexes every brand we cover, the spring bar sizes guide covers the pins these straps hang on, and how to measure is the fallback when the caseback code is worn.
