Nivada Grenchen hides its strap widths in plain sight. The product pages do print a width row, but the label changes from model to model: Band Width on the Antarctics, Strap Width on the Diver and Aquamar, and typo variants like Strap With and Band With on the Super Antarctic and Autochron [1] [11] [14] [16]. Shortcut guides copy each other's guesses instead, which is how the 35mm Antarctics ended up mislabeled all over the strap market. We pulled the brand's full catalog (167 products) and every watch page, then cross-checked each row against the brand's own strap and bracelet listings [38]. Fifteen rows below, every width traced to the manufacturer's own words, and two families we deliberately refused to chart because the evidence does not exist.

Quick answers: the 38mm Antarctics (Glacier, Spider, Diver, Aquamar, Super Antarctic), the Autochron, Chronomaster and Depthmaster all take 20mm straps. The 35mm Antarctics split: Spider 35mm is 18mm, Glacier 35mm prints 19mm while the brand's own 35mm accessories are 18mm, so measure before ordering. The F77 takes nothing standard: 22x16mm printed on the Mark 1, and Mark 2 strap classes of 22.3, 22.7 and 23.5mm by strap type. Almost everything tapers to a 16mm buckle; the NATO straps do not taper at all.

The 35mm trap: one collection, two widths

This is the row the shortcut guides get wrong. Both 35mm Antarctic families are sold as one 35mm collection, but the brand prints different widths on the two cases: the Spider 35mm product pages say Band Width 18x16mm [3] [4], while the Glacier 35mm and Glacier Vintage 35mm pages say 19x16mm [1] [2]. The accessory catalog then leans 18mm: the ANTARCTIC 35MM BRACELET is titled 18MM, tapers 18mm at the lugs to 16mm at the clasp, and is described as designed for the Antarctic 35mm collection [5], and the 18mm Tropic strap carries the same designed-for wording [6]. An independent review of the Antarctic 35mm also measured 18mm [7]. The safest reading: Spider 35mm is 18mm on every surface; Glacier 35mm prints 19mm on its own card but the 35mm first-party straps and bracelet are 18mm, so a Glacier owner should measure the gap once before buying. That one measurement is cheaper than a returned strap.

The F77 problem: strap classes, not one width

The F77 is the one Nivada Grenchen family where a single number is the wrong answer. The brand excludes it from its own universal strap: the all-collections racing strap is 20-16mm and, in the brand's words, fits all collections except F77 [25]. The Mark 1 (37mm) product pages print 22x16mm [19] [20] and its steel, titanium and bicolor bracelets all taper from 22.3mm at the case to 16mm at the clasp [21]. The Mark 2 (38mm) is wider still and splits by strap type: the steel bracelet is 22.3mm at the case (stated compatible with all F77 MK2 models), the canvas velcro strap is 22.7mm, and the rubber strap is 23.5mm, every one of them closing at 16mm [22] [23] [24]. If you are ordering a third-party strap for an F77, match the class of the strap you are replacing, and expect an integrated-look fit: these are wide, straight-lugged cases by design.

The rows we refused to print

Two families are missing from the chart on purpose. The F77 Mark 2 41mm watches print case and lug-to-lug on their pages but no width row, and no first-party strap SKU names the 41mm case, so there is nothing to trace; inheriting the 38mm's 22.3mm bracelet class would be a guess, and guesses are how the shortcut guides got the 35mm Antarctics wrong. The Antarctic GMT is the same story in reverse: dealer listings print 20mm for it, but the model is not in the brand's current catalog and the brand itself prints nothing we could verify, so it stays off the table. A row with no manufacturer trace is not a data point, it is a rumor with a number attached.

How we verified this

The catalog basis is the brand's own product feed, 167 products pulled 2026-09-26 [38], cross-read against the live straps collection [39]. Every watch row was then checked against its own product page spec table; the label changes name across families (Band Width, Strap Width, and the typo variants Strap With and Band With), so a tolerant matcher was used and each value read back in its raw context [1] [11] [14] [16]. Rows whose watch pages print no width (Chronomaster, Depthmaster, Chronoking, F77 Mark 2) are each traced to the brand's own strap or bracelet listings, with their compat statements quoted in the sources, and marked as such in the Watch out column. Independent reviews corroborate the 35mm Antarctic at 18mm [7] and the Chronomaster at 20mm [33] [26]. Nothing in either table is inferred from case size alone.
