Zelos band size chart by model

Zelos prints Lug Width on its own product pages, which should make this the easiest brand in the microbrand world to chart. It mostly does: we pulled the full catalog from the official store (61 spec-checked references below) plus the official outlet, and the widths resolve cleanly once you know the one rule the catalog follows [1] [5] [9]. The catches are the same-family size splits (Helica 39 versus 42, Swordfish 40 versus 42, the three-generation Helmsman), one 40mm watch on a custom 24mm strap, two lugless models that take no standard strap at all, and a handful of archive references whose pages no longer print a width.

Quick answers: cases up to 40mm take 20mm (Swordfish 40, Mako, Helica 39, Comet, Spearfish, Horizons GMT, Nova, Vitesse, Aurora Field 38). Cases 41mm and up take 22mm (Swordfish 42, Hammerhead, Abyss 3, Great White, Helica 42, Thresher 44, Starfighter). The traps: Blacktip is 41mm but takes 20mm; Artemis is 40mm but takes a custom 24mm; Chroma 2 and Cosmos are lugless; Helmsman has been 43mm/22mm, 40mm/20mm and 42mm/22mm across its life.

The one rule: read the case first

Across every current family that prints a width, Zelos sizes straps to the case: 38, 39 and 40mm cases get 20mm, and 41mm and larger cases get 22mm [1] [2] [12] [13]. That single line resolves most of the catalog. It breaks in exactly four places, and each break is printed on the brand's own page: the Blacktip puts a 20mm strap on a 41mm case [20], the Artemis puts a custom 24mm strap on a 40mm case [37], the Chroma 2 is a 42mm lugless design whose strap is quoted as 22/20 rather than a lug width [46], and the Cosmos is a 45mm lugless case with no width at all [45].

Same family, two sizes: the split traps

Most Zelos families exist in two case sizes with different lug widths, and the dials look identical in product photos. The Helica is the worst because both sizes are current: the 39 prints 20mm with a 20-16 bracelet taper, the 42 prints 22mm with a 22-18 taper [9] [10]. The Swordfish does the same at 40/20 and 42/22 across the largest set of colorways in the catalog [1] [2]. The Aurora Field splits 38/20 against 42/22 [17] [18], the GT splits 40/20 against 42/22 [23] [24], the Horizons splits 39/20 against 43/22 [25] [26], and the Thresher splits 41/20 against 44/22 [12] [13].

The Helmsman is the three-generation version of the same trap. The 2014 original was a 43mm case on 22mm straps [57] [58] [59]. The Helmsman still listed on the official store is a 40mm case on 20mm [48]. The Helmsman 2 prints 22mm on its 42mm case [49]. Anyone quoting one Helmsman width is quoting one generation.

Rows Zelos no longer prints

Seven current or recent models ship on straps whose width the official page omits: the Thresher 500m GMT, the Eagle E-1 pilot, the original Skyraider, the Abyss 2 Turbine, the Mirage 8 Days, the ZX Chronograph and the Cosmos [39] [40] [41] [42] [43] [44]. We carry those as no width printed rather than guessing. Two have solid corroboration from outside the official store: a launch-era review of the official ZX specs lists 22mm lugs [55], and a dealer listing for the Mirage 8 Days measures 20mm [56]. Both are marked as corroborated, not first-party. The chronotick.com aggregator carries per-model Zelos spec pages that agree with the printed widths row by row, which is the cross-check we used on the extraction [61]. The Thresher GMT is the one to measure twice: its 41mm sibling takes 20mm, its 44mm sibling takes 22mm, and the 42mm GMT page prints no width on either official host [39] [53].

Lugless: the two that take no standard strap

The Chroma 2 and the Cosmos sit outside the width system entirely. The Chroma 2 page describes a 42mm lugless case that wears like a 40mm watch with lugs, and quotes the strap as 22/20mm: 22 where it meets the case, 20 at the buckle [46]. The Cosmos is a 45mm lugless case with no width quoted anywhere on the page [45]. On both, an ordinary two-piece strap depends on the original mounting hardware, so budget for the brand's own strap rather than the aftermarket.

Bracelet tapers

Four current bracelets print their taper: Helica 39 at 20-16, Helica 42 at 22-18, Comet at 20-16, and the Great White 43 titanium bracelet at 22-18 [9] [10] [21] [15].
