Kurono Tokyo band size chart by model

Kurono Tokyo sells limited drops that sell out at launch, so there is no live catalog to scrape: the store's product feed returns an empty list ^[32] and the brand keeps its specifications on the archive pages it still serves, 71 of them ^[31]. No strap retailer charted the brand because there was never a catalog to chart; watchbands.ai lists 189 brands and has no Kurono page ^[33]. The archive pages themselves are the only first-party rail, and they print the sizing plainly: 18mm lugs on the 34mm watches ^[1], 20mm on everything 37mm and up ^[4], and the taper written out in words, 20mm at lugs, 16mm at buckle ^[4].

The chart: 31 archive rows, two widths, one exception

Prices are the launch figures still printed on the archive pages; the drops are allocated by ballot and long sold out. Missing cells mean the archive page genuinely does not print the figure.

The 18mm island: three 34mm drops, one spec sentence

The 34mm family is the only place Kurono breaks from 20mm, and all three year pages agree with each other. The 2023 page prints Lug width: 18mm and Lug to lug: 41mm ^[1]; the 2024 page prints Lug to lug length: 41 mm and Lug width: 18 mm ^[2]; the 2025 Star Dial special project prints the identical pair ^[3]. Case thickness is 9.6mm on all three. That makes the 34mm Kuronos one of the very few current mechanical watches on 18mm lugs, a width the strap trade understocks: most 34 to 36mm watches today ship on 19 or 20mm. An 18mm strap is the correct purchase, not an 18/16 tapered guess; no buckle width is printed anywhere in the 34mm family.

20mm on everything else, from 37mm case to 38mm chronograph

Every 37mm and 38mm model in the archive prints 20mm, in four different phrasings that all mean the same strap. The classic band line spells the whole story: Bunkyo Tokyo prints Calf leather band (20mm at lugs, 16mm at buckle) ^[4] and the Reiwa prints Genuine alligator band (20mm at lugs, 16mm at buckle) ^[5]. The older anniversary pages compress it to Strap Widths: 20/16mm on the Toki ^[7], the Seiji ^[8] and the chronographs ^{[26] [27]}. The current-generation pages print the full pairing, Lug width: 20 mm (16 mm at buckle), on the INSEKI ^[14], the Malachite ^[15], the Calendrier SBR ^[18] and the Grand Jubilee Calendar ^[19]. And the spec-block pages give the number with its neighbours: the 2024 Anniversary Reiwa prints Lug Width: 20mm, Lug-to-lug: 42.75mm, Buckle Width: 16mm ^[6], the Chronograph 1 Mk.2 and its siblings print Lug to lug length: 46.8 mm beside Lug width: 20 mm ^[22], and the GMT 1 prints Strap width: 20/16mm (lugs/buckle) with a 46.3mm lug-to-lug ^[28].

The buying consequence is simple: one 20/16 strap, leather or otherwise, fits the entire 37 and 38mm archive, 26 of the 29 models that print a width at all. The lug-to-lug is what actually differs between them, 41mm on the 34mm watches, 42.75mm on the slim 37mm three-hands, 45.6mm on the Sensu cases and 46.8mm on the chronographs, and that is the number that decides wrist fit (see the lug-to-lug guide).

The taper is printed, which almost no brand does

Strap listings write 20/16 and buyers are left to trust it. Kurono prints it. The Grand series archive pages carry the bare line 20mm at lugs, 16mm at buckle under a 316L high-polished 37mm stainless steel case heading, on the Grand Akane ^[9], Grand Hagane ^[10], Grand Urushi Aoyama ^[11] and the 2022 Anniversary Grand Mori ^[12]. The Azuki goes further and packs it into one spec sentence: Strap widths: 20mm at lugs, 16mm at buckle ^[17]. So a replacement strap for any 37 or 38mm Kurono should be a 20mm strap with a 16mm buckle to match the factory proportions, a straight 20/20 strap fits the lugs but sits visibly wider than the original at the keeper. The watch strap taper chart explains the convention, and Kurono is one of the few brands where the taper is verifiable first-party rather than inherited.

The Diver's exception: 19mm inside, 24mm outside

The 2026 Kurono Diver's is two spec blocks on one page, and both widths break the house pattern. The watch itself is a 35 x 35 mm cushion case, printed verbatim as Case diameter: 35 x 35 mm (Lug to Lug: 37.4 mm), with Lug width: 19 mm and Buckle width: 16 mm on a calf leather quick-release strap ^[29]. For diving, that whole watch goes inside an outer case printed as Case diameter: 46 mm (Lug to Lug: 56.7 mm), which takes Lug width: 24 mm and Buckle width: 22 mm on rubber ^[29]. So the answer depends on which question you are asking: 19mm to replace the everyday strap on the watch head, 24mm for the diving case's rubber. Both are odd widths in the strap trade; the 19mm in particular is the same understocked width Yema uses across 35 of its 110 watches (see the Yema chart).

Archive gaps and dead rows, disclosed

Three rows in the record are empty and we leave them empty. The 2020 Anniversary Mori page names its Calf leather band and its 37mm case but prints no width anywhere ^[13]; given that every other 37mm page in the archive prints 20mm, a 20mm strap is the reasonable inference, but it is an inference, so the row says not printed. The Hajime Asaoka 60 Diamond Jubilee page carries no mm figures at all ^[30]. And the Hiroshige strap accessory pages, which search engines still index with their spec line Lug/Buckle widths: 20mm / 16mm, now return http 404 at build time: dead archive rows, disclosed here rather than cited ^{[35] [36]}. This is the normal condition of a limited-drop brand: pages outlive their products. Every row in the chart above was re-pulled fresh at build time, and none of the 31 rows rests on a dead page.

How we verified this

We pulled the brand's pages sitemap fresh ^[31], fetched all 71 archive pages it lists (every one returned http 200 at build time), and read the specification block on each. Every width, taper, lug-to-lug and price in the tables above is copied from those pages, never from a dealer, a forum or an inherited table. The empty live catalog was confirmed directly from the product feed ^[32]. Incumbents were re-checked fresh at build time by two methods: watchbands.ai lists 189 brands with no Kurono entry ^[33], and search results for kurono lug width and kurono tokyo band size chart surface per-model spec databases and one single-model strap lookbook, but no consolidated Kurono width chart ^[34].
