Vertex band size chart by model

Vertex prints its lug widths inside full sentences on its own product pages: the M100A says 40mm case with 20mm lug width and a 12.2mm depth. Lug to Lug 48.5mm [1], the M36 says 36mm case with 18mm lug width [7]. We pulled the brand's whole store, 41 products, 8 watches [14], and read every spec line on every watch page: the entire catalog splits into just two widths, 20mm on the M100 and AquaLion lines and 18mm on the M36, with one page, the MP45, printing no width at all. No consolidated Vertex width chart exists anywhere else: watchbands.ai lists 189 brands and has no Vertex page [15].

Quick answers: M100A and M100AC take 20mm. Every M60 AquaLion (D, DC, ND) takes 20mm. The M36 takes 18mm with screw-in lug bars. The MP45 M prints no lug width: measure before buying. Every watch ships with two or three straps in the box, listed per row below.

Two widths, one catalog

Vertex is a small-catalog brand and its sizing is correspondingly simple: 5 of the 8 watches print 20mm and the M36 prints 18mm [7]. The width is not in a spec table on most pages; it lives inside the case description prose, phrased exactly as a lug width of 20mm and a lug-to-lug of 48.9mm on the AquaLions [3] and 11mm in depth with a lug width of 18mm on the M36 [7]. The strap store confirms the split from the other side: Vertex titles its own rubber strap for the M100 as 20mm with quick-release lugs [9] and its cotton NATOs at 20mm [13], while seven accessories, the leather NATOs and the vintage brown leather among them, are titled at 18mm for the M36 [11] [12].

Vertex contradicts itself on lug-to-lug

Most brands print one case figure. Vertex prints two, and they disagree on nearly every page. The M100A spec line says Lug to Lug 48.5mm while the case prose on the same page says a lug-to-lug of 49mm [1]. The M100AC inverts it: 48mm lug to lug in the spec line against 49mm in the prose [2]. The AquaLions print Lug to Lug is 49mm in the spec list against 48.9mm in the case prose [3]. These are half-millimeter rounding conflicts inside single pages, not different watches; for strap fit none of it matters (the width is the buying number), but if you are sizing the watch to a wrist, use the lug-to-lug guide and treat 48.5 to 49mm as the real M100 band.

The AquaLion case-size puzzle

The M60 AquaLion D and ND pages carry a summary table reading Case size 39mm x 45mm x 11mm, while their own technical spec list reads Case: Stainless steel, diameter 40mm, thickness 14mm [3]. The newer M60C AquaLion DC avoids the conflict: 40mm x 14mm x 49mm in the table, diameter 40mm thickness 14mm in the list [4]. The best reading of the D and ND pages is that the summary table carries the movement-inclusive dress dimensions of an earlier revision and the spec list carries the current case, but that is our inference, not Vertex's print; both figures are shown per row so you can judge. The lug width, the number that picks your strap, is 20mm in every version.

The M36 trap: 18mm, and screw-in bars

The M36 is the watch that breaks the everything-is-20mm assumption. It prints 36mm case with 18mm lug width on a straight 11mm-deep case with a 46.5mm lug-to-lug [7], and its lugs take screw-in bars rather than standard spring bars: Vertex sells the M36 Lug Bars 18mm set explicitly [10], and its own vintage brown leather and leather NATO accessories for the watch are titled 18mm [11]. An 18mm strap is an odd size at retail; the strap makers who do carry it are listed in the lug width chart. Check the bar type before buying as well: with screw lugs you want the M36 bar set or a strap with the right clearance.

The MP45 gap: no width printed at all

The MP45 M page prints a full case description, 40mm asymmetric 316L brushed steel case, 14.8mm deep, with a lug-to-lug of 48.5mm [8], and no lug width anywhere on the page. Its own steel strap product page also prints no width [17]. We flag the gap rather than guess a number: dealer listings and forum threads carry opinions, but nothing first-party. If you own an MP45, measure the lug gap with calipers per the measuring guide before ordering.

What ships in the box

Every Vertex watch arrives with multiple straps, which changes the buying math on aftermarket bands. The M100A ships in a military-spec Peli Case with a black leather strap, an Admiralty Grey NATO and an additional Vertex NATO [1]; the M100AC ships with a bespoke rubber two-piece plus red and black NATOs [2]; the AquaLions ship with a stainless bracelet, a single-strand Zulu (ZA on the Date) and a rubber dive strap [3]; the M36 ships with an expandable metal strap plus sand and leather over-and-under straps [7]; and the MP45 M is delivered on a black leather strap with additional rubber and NATO straps [8]. The per-row column above carries the exact set for each watch.

How we verified this

We enumerated the brand's own store feed (41 products: 8 watches, 33 straps and accessories) and fetched every watch product page plus the relevant strap pages, parsing both the technical spec lists and the case prose on each [14]. All 8 watch pages returned; 6 print a lug width (5x 20mm across M100 and AquaLion listings, 1x 18mm on the M36), one AquaLion listing prints the spec list only, and the MP45 prints none. Where Vertex prints conflicting figures on one page (48.5 versus 49, 48 versus 49, 49 versus 48.9, 39 x 45 x 11 versus 40mm and 14mm), both prints are shown and labeled, never reconciled by us. Incumbents checked fresh at build time: watchbands.ai lists 189 brands and carries no Vertex page [15], and lug2lug.org's Vertex page lists models and prices with no width data [16]. No retailer or dealer figure appears in any row; the only sources are Vertex's own pages.
