Christopher Ward Band Size Chart by Model
Christopher Ward is the rare brand that answers the strap size question in its own product pages: every reference publishes a Strap Size line in the Technical block, and the reference number itself carries the case size in its first two digits. That makes the band size look-up a two-step read instead of a guess, which matters here more than at most brands, because the width ladder has a trap in the middle: the 40mm steel C60 Tridents take 20mm while the 41mm titanium ones take 22mm, and the Twelve integrated family runs a 25mm width that most strap buyers do not expect. This page lists 16 current models from the C60 divers to the C12 Loco, every width anchored on christopherward.com specifications plus at least one independent source (the delugs per-reference compatibility tables, launch spec sheets, or measured reviews), with the two references we could not two-source refused and disclosed below.
Read the reference first
A Christopher Ward reference runs family, size, configuration, fitting: in C60-40ADA31S0KK1-B0, C60 names the diver family, 40 is the case diameter in millimeters, the letter block configures dial, movement and metal, and the code after the last dash is the strap fitting of that SKU, with B0 shipping on a steel bracelet and RK on rubber [2] [4]. The size digits are the load-bearing part and they held on every reference checked for this chart: C60-38 and C60-40 steel Tridents take 20mm [1] [2], C60-41 titanium and C60-42 take 22mm [7] [3], and the C60-44 takes 22mm as well [4]. Two families break the simple diameter intuition, so read them from the table rather than from a rule: the C12 Twelve integrated watches run 22mm at 36mm of case but 25mm at 40 and 41mm [13] [14], and the C1 Bel Canto sits at 22mm behind a 41mm case [12] [26].

The one disagreement, and the rows we refused to publish
The C12 Loco carries this chart's one disclosed contradiction. Christopher Ward's own Technical block prints Strap Size 25mm [16] and the printed owner's handbook repeats Strap width 25mm integrated [18], but Hourstriker's caliper review measures the rubber strap at 24mm where it meets the case [41]. The manufacturer figure wins and 25mm is what we publish, with two practical notes from the same review: the Loco's center-link mount is unique to the C12, so ordinary straight-end 25mm straps are a gamble, and aBlogtoWatch flags that the angled lugs make the quick-release tabs hard to reach [37]. Two rows were refused outright, both for the same reason: The Twelve 660 and the 38mm Twelve print Strap Size 23.30mm in Christopher Ward's own Technical blocks [38] [39], a non-standard integrated width, and no independent source publishes any width for either model: WatchGecko's hands-on spec table for the 660 lists case, height, lug to lug and weight but omits lug width entirely [40]. One source, no row. If you own one, measure the fitting before ordering anything.
Widths, tapers and the integrated trap
Three practical consequences fall out of the table. First, the 20 versus 22 split inside the C60 line tracks the reference, not the eye: a 41mm Reef sits next to a 40mm GMT in a shop display and takes a different width, so check the two size digits before checkout. Second, the 25mm Twelve family is the reason generic 20/22 strap inventories disappoint Christopher Ward owners: standard 25mm straps do fit the quick-release bars on the 40, X and Loco, but selection is thinner and the factory bracelet's aggressive 25 to 17mm taper sets the look [14]. Third, the taper question is its own topic: what a 22/18 or 25/16 listing means for fit and proportion is covered on the strap taper chart, the bars and their tip sizes live on the spring bar sizes page, and the cross-brand width ladder is summarized on the lug width chart.
Frequently asked questions
What size strap does a Christopher Ward C60 Trident take?
20mm on the 38mm and 40mm steel references [1] [2], 22mm on the 41mm titanium, 42mm and 44mm references [7] [3] [4].
What band does the Christopher Ward Twelve use?
25mm on the Twelve 40, Twelve X and C12 Loco [14] [15] [16], 22mm on the Twelve 36 [13] [30]. The Twelve 660 and 38mm Twelve print 23.30mm and are refused above [38].
How do I read a Christopher Ward reference number?
Family, then case size in millimeters, then configuration, then the strap fitting: C60-40ADA31S0KK1-B0 is a 40mm C60 diver on a steel bracelet [2]. The size digits held on every reference in this chart.
Do Christopher Ward watches have quick-release straps?
Yes, across straps and bracelets on the current range, including the integrated Twelve bracelets [14] [37]. Check the width first: 25mm and 23.30mm are not the stock sizes most shops carry.
