Serica band size chart by reference

Serica keeps its strap sizing almost boring on purpose: every reference the French brand has ever sold is 20mm between the lugs, with exactly one exception, the shaped Ref. 1174 Parade at 18mm. The brand says it itself: "for all our other references with a 20 mm lug width" it offers its lizard straps [16], and each product page prints the number line for line in its spec block [3] [6] [9] [12]. We pulled all 22 current product pages plus the service-center article at build time: 23 references below, every width from Serica's own copy, none guessed.

Quick answers: any Serica diver (5303, 5330), field watch (6190), GMT (8315), Chronometre Etanche (7505) or the retired 4512 takes a 20mm strap. The Parade 1174, including the 2026 Parade Lin, takes 18mm [12]. Factory hardware tapers by family: mesh 20 to 16 [18], Bonklip 20 to 17 links [19], Sport rubber 20 to 14 [17], Parade calf 18 to 14 [22].

One brand, one width, one exception

The whole modern catalog prints the same line: Entre-corne, between the lugs, 20mm. The 5303 diving family in all four editions [1] [2] [3] [4] and its 2026 date sibling the 5330 [5]; the 6190 field chronometers across the M.S.L. colors, titanium TXD, TDM, Commando, Denali and California [6] [7] [8]; the 8315 GMTs [10] [11]; and the compact 2026 7505, which fits a 20mm strap between short curved lugs on a case just 35mm wide and 41.5mm lug-to-lug [9]. The service-center article blesses the whole list at once with its 20mm statement [16]. That makes Serica one of the easiest brands on this site to buy a strap for: one width covers every round watch.

The Parade exception: 18mm, and it is not a typo

The Ref. 1174 Parade is Serica's shaped dress watch, a 35mm x 41mm cushion just 8.2mm thick, and it is the reference the 20mm article statement deliberately skips [16]. Its own product page settles it: between the lugs 18mm, with the grained calf strap printed at 18mm to 14mm and a Stadium pin buckle to match [12] [22]. All four current versions agree: the brass 1174-1 [12], the noir satin 1174-2 [13], and the 2026 Parade Lin dials 1174-3 and 1174-4 [14] [15]. If you own a Parade, do not buy the 20mm strap your other Serica takes; the 2mm difference is visible and the strap will not seat.

The retailer traps: 5303-3 is not 18mm

Serica sizing confusion online comes almost entirely from two sources. First, a retailer guide lists the 5303-3 Crystal Blue at 18mm; the manufacturer's own page for that exact watch prints 20mm between the lugs, twice, once in the French spec block and once as Between the horns 20mm in English, with the factory mesh at 20mm to 16mm [3] [18]. Reviews with calipers agree at 20mm [26] [27]. Second, the 4512, the discontinued first field watch, is sometimes listed without a width at all; the brand's current strap shop still sells end links for it [17] [23] and every owner review measures 20mm [30] [31]. The manufacturer pages win both arguments.

Factory straps and bracelets: the taper table

At the lugs everything is 20mm (or 18mm on a Parade), but the factory hardware tapers by product, and the numbers matter if you want the factory look. The Vesper Mesh on the divers runs 20mm at the end links down to 16mm [18]. The Bonklip ladder bracelet, standard on the 7505 and the 6190s, is 20mm at the end pieces with 19mm polished attachments and 17mm central links [19]. The PLD parachute strap uses the same 19mm and 17mm hardware in stretchable nylon [20]. The SERICA Sport rubber tapers hardest, 20mm to 14mm [17], the lizard leather goes 20mm to 16mm and is sold only within the EU [21] [16], and the Parade calf strap runs 18mm to 14mm [22]. The brand sells its pin buckle separately in exactly 14mm and 16mm [24], which tells you which strap ends it expects you to re-buckle.

End links: the real compatibility question

A plain two-piece 20mm strap fits every non-Parade Serica with ordinary spring bars, no adapters. Steel is stricter: the mesh and Bonklip bracelets use fitted end links, and Serica sells them per reference. The SERICA Sport strap's end-link options are 5303, 6190, 8315 and 4512 [17]; the Expedition bracelet lists the same four [23]; and the mesh catalog covers the divers, GMTs, 6190s, 7505s and the 1174 [18]. If you are moving factory hardware between references, match the end links, not just the width. The brand's how-to page walks the strap change per model [25].

How we verified this

Every width in the table comes from a Serica product page spec block or the brand's own service-center article, pulled fresh at build time [16] [1] [6] [9] [10] [12]. The 22 current references were enumerated from the brand's store catalog and each page's case block (diameter, thickness, lug-to-lug, between the lugs) was read directly. Review measurements from Worn and Wound, Watch Clicker, Fratello, Monochrome, Fifth Wrist and lug2lug appear only as corroboration, never as the sole basis for a row [26] [29] [32] [30] [28]. The one reference whose spec accordion would not render outside a browser, the 6190 TDM, carries the brand's blanket 20mm statement plus its family's identical block, and the row says so. Nothing is inferred from case size alone.
