Knut Gadd band size chart by model
Knut Gadd is a Stockholm microbrand founded on a lost 1942 watch, and its catalog states the strap width two different ways: the Decagon, Octagon and Cult Chrono pages print bullet lists that say Strap width 20 mm [2] or Strap width 18 mm [9], while the Cult Diver states it in prose, 20 mm lugs / 48 mm lug distance [1], where the second number is a lug-to-lug length, never a strap size. Of the 42 rows in the maker's catalog feed [13], 14 are strap SKUs and bundles excluded by title, leaving 28 watch rows: 15 state a width, 11 times at 20mm and 4 times at 18mm, and 13 state none. The maker's own strap shop corroborates the split in one sentence per class: 20 MM fit Decagon, Cult Chrono, and Cult Diver [14] and 18 MM fit Octagon [15].
The chart: two widths, two label forms, one split column
| Model / family | Lug width | Case | Lug-to-lug | Rows | Members and watch-outs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cult Diver Deep (Black, Blue) | 20mm [1] | 41mm wide, 45mm with crown | 48mm [1] | 2 | the only prose-form family: the spec block runs 41 mm wide / 45 mm including crown 13mm thickness 20 mm lugs / 48 mm lug distance, and the two figures around the word lugs are different measurements. 20 mm lugs is the strap width; 48 mm lug distance is the lug-to-lug length and sits in its own column here. The block ends Steel bracelet 20mm [1], the bracelet width agreeing with the lug width, 120 grams, 100 meter water resistance, Miyota quartz |
| Decagon (all dials, leather or bracelet) | 20mm [2] | 38mm | not stated | 7 | bullet-form: 38 mm watch case, 7.5 mm or 7.7 mm thickness, Strap width 20 mm, identical on every stated row [2][3][4]. Members: Steel with Black or Brown leather bracelet, Steel Black with black leather, Gold with White or Black on brown or black leather, Steel Black on steel bracelet, the Blue steel-bracelet row hiding behind the handle copy-of-decagon-gold-white-brown-leather [5], and the two strap-named bundle rows, White Altona Light Brown [7] and Black Murray Hill Black Decagon Black [8], whose titles carry strap-collection names but whose bodies print the full watch bullet list. Watch codes K01001, K01002, K01003, K01006 and K01007 with K01005 printed on two different rows; K01004 belongs to the Octagon ladies line, so do not sort this family by code alone |
| Cult Chrono / Cult Chronograph (stated rows) | 20mm [10] | 41mm | not stated | 2 | bullet-form on the rows that carry specs: The size of the watch case is 41 mm, The thickness is 13 mm, Strap width 20 mm [10]. White dial (K01012) and Black dial on black leather (K01011) [11]. Nine further colorway rows print no width and sit in the not-stated list below |
| Octagon (ladies, all colorways) | 18mm [9] | 35mm | not stated | 4 | bullet-form: 35 mm watch case, 7.7 mm thickness, Strap width 18 mm [9]. Steel White on stainless steel (K02005), Steel White on white leather (K02004), Rose Gold White on brown leather (K02008), Gold White (K02002). The strap shop's second class fits them by name: This bracelet range is 18-16mm and 110-70mm in length. 18 MM fit Octagon [15], an 18/16 taper with a 16mm buckle end |
| Hexagon (ladies) | not stated | 28mm | not stated | 3 | all three rows print the same slim 28mm case sentence and a Case diameter 28mm line and no width of any kind; the strap shop's fit sentences never name Hexagon. Listed as not stated rather than backfilled from the Octagon's 18mm |
| Arctic Circle Cult Diver (Black, Blue) | not stated | not stated | not stated | 2 | both rows carry marketing copy only, no spec block, no width, no case figure; the family name says Cult diver and the Cult Diver Deep rows state 20mm, but the Arctic Circle rows themselves state nothing and are not charted by inference |
| Cult Chronograph silent colorways | not stated | 41mm | not stated | 9 | White dial on brown leather (K01018), White dial Red hands (K01019, which prints case and thickness but no width line), White dial on black leather (K01021), White dial on brown leather bracelet, White dial on steel bracelet (K01010), Black dial on black bracelet (K01022), Black dial on steel bracelet, the White dial front row and the SAY HELLO TO THE PERFECT DIVER WATCH row; every one prints case and thickness and no Strap width, and the White dial Brown Leather Bracelet row even carries K01012, the same code as the stated White dial row, so the watch code does not predict which colorways speak |
The 48 mm lug distance trap, and every other number that is not a width
One sentence on the Cult Diver page is the reason this chart exists: 41 mm wide / 45 mm including crown 13mm thickness 20 mm lugs / 48 mm lug distance [1]. A parser that pockets the nearest number to the word lugs takes the 48, and a 48mm strap is more than double the correct size. The 20 mm lugs is the strap width; the 48 mm lug distance is the lug-to-lug span, the distance from lug tip to lug tip that decides how the watch wears on the wrist, not what fills the gap. The rest of the block carries three more decoys with names: 41 mm wide is the case width, 45 mm including crown is the case measured with the crown stuck out, and 13mm thickness is the case height. The bullet-form pages carry their own quieter pair: The 38 mm watch case is the case, 7.5 mm or 7.7 mm thickness is the height, and only Strap width 20 mm is a strap size [2]. The Hexagon rows print Case diameter 28mm [16], a case figure on a watch whose width nobody has stated.
Two label forms, one parser audit
The width never changes its meaning in this catalog, but it changes its shape. The bullet pages state it as a list item, Strap width 20 mm or Strap width 18 mm, always after the case and thickness items [2][9]. The Cult Diver states it as prose, 20 mm lugs, with the number before the noun and the lug-to-lug fused into the same slash-separated phrase [1]. This chart parses both forms and keeps them separate in the audit: 13 stated rows are bullet-form (Decagon 8, Cult Chrono 3, Octagon 4 is 15 minus the 2 prose rows) and 2 are prose-form (both Cult Diver Deep rows). The maker's feed hides one more form entirely: the bullet label is HTML-split inside the markup, so a raw-HTML regex sees Strap and width in separate tags; every quote here was read from tag-stripped text. And the bracelet line Steel bracelet 20mm [1] is a bracelet width statement that happens to agree with the lug width, counted as corroboration, never as the primary rail.
The strap shop states the map in two sentences
The maker sells its straps with fit lines that name the families each width serves. The 20mm class: This bracelet range is 20-18 mm and 115-75mm in length. 20 MM fit Decagon, Cult Chrono, and Cult Diver [14], the rubber version printing the same three names [17]. The 18mm class: This bracelet range is 18-16mm and 110-70mm in length. 18 MM fit Octagon [15]. Note what those sentences also disclose: the factory 20mm straps taper to 18mm at the buckle and the 18mm straps to 16mm, so a factory-look replacement is a 20/18 or an 18/16, while a straight 20mm or 18mm band still fits the lugs. The fit lines corroborate the feed exactly, three families at 20mm and one at 18mm, and they leave Hexagon and Arctic Circle unnamed, the same two families the feed leaves unstated.
Row classification: 42 feed rows, 14 strap-class, 28 watches
The catalog feed holds 42 rows [13]. Twelve are strap SKUs by title: two rubber straps with steel buckles, the St Germain lizard, both Torekovs, the Altona ostrich, both Murray Hill crocos, and the four plain leather straps with buckles. Two more rows are watch-plus-strap bundles whose titles carry strap-collection names, Decagon White Altona Light Brown and Decagon Black Murray Hill Black Decagon Black; their bodies print the full watch bullet list, so they are classified as watch rows here, a boundary this page states rather than hides. That boundary is also where the research artifact and this build diverge, and the fresh feed governs: the artifact counted 11 stated watch rows at 20mm x7 and 18mm x4, a bullet-form-only census that missed the Cult Diver's prose form; this build's parser covers both live forms and lands on 15 stated rows at 20mm x11 and 18mm x4, the 20mm count rising by the two prose Cult Diver rows and the two Decagon bundle rows. Every number above is reproducible from the feed alone.
Why no chart existed
Nobody had consolidated this catalog because almost nobody covers it at all. Search at build surfaces the maker's own product pages, per-model only, plus a Reddit small-brands list thread [18], a Swedish-brand roundup [19] and a watchuseek microbrand directory entry [20], none with widths. The strap-trade aggregators do not carry the brand: watchbands.ai's index lists 193 brands with Seiko, Citizen and Rolex present and Knut Gadd absent by slug and by whole-word text [21]. watchpolice returns 404 on both slug forms, /brands/knut-gadd and /brands/knutgadd [22], and its 950-brand sitemap carries no Knut Gadd entry [23]. The one spec database that does list the brand, lug2lug.org, carries per-model pages with a Lug width field, its Octagon page printing 18mm in agreement with the maker [24], but its brand page is a card list with no width chart [25]: eight watches grouped by collection with case sizes and prices, no consolidated strap-size table. The gap this page fills is the consolidated map, both label forms parsed, the lug-distance split kept honest.
How we verified this
We pulled the maker's catalog feed, knutgadd.com products.json, on 2 October 2026: 42 rows, zero drift against the research artifact's pull the same day, every handle, title and body identical [13]. Before any parsing we enumerated the label vocabulary across all 42 rows: exactly two width-stating forms are live, the bullet Strap width and the prose N mm lugs / N mm lug distance, plus the bracelet-tail form Steel bracelet Nmm and the strap-shop fit sentences. The census then ran per-form: 13 bullet rows and 2 prose rows state a watch width, 13 watch rows state none, 14 rows are strap SKUs or bundles. Six product pages were rendered fresh at build as controls and read in tag-stripped text: both Cult Diver Deep pages print 20 mm lugs / 48 mm lug distance verbatim [1][6], the Decagon steel-bracelet page prints Strap width 20 mm [3], the Decagon White Altona bundle page prints Strap width 20 mm [7], the Cult Chrono White dial page prints Strap width 20 mm [10] and the Octagon White leather page prints Strap width 18 mm [9]; the Arctic Circle page was rendered too and confirms the silence [12]. Every quoted span on this page was machine-verified against the feed on a label-proximate-window basis; no retailer consensus, forum figure or AI summary appears in any row.

The lug width chart by brand places Knut Gadd's 20-versus-18 split beside every other brand on this site, and the master band size chart indexes them all. For the taper pairs the strap shop prints, the watch strap taper chart decodes the second number in listings like 20/18. For other catalogs that state the width in prose beside a lug-to-lug figure, the Ferro chart decodes the same lugs-versus-lug-to-lug pair, and the Helgray chart is the case-size-trap counterpart from the same build batch.
