Sher band size chart: two watches, two widths, one taper trap

Some brands need a hundred rows before a pattern appears. Sher needs two. The entire catalog is three products [1][2]: a 300-piece limited collaboration dive watch, a kids watch, and an easy-read clock that has no lugs and takes no strap at all. The two watches print their strap sizes themselves, in plain words, and this chart is little more than those words, copied exactly and kept honest. The dive watch says 20mm twice; the kids watch says 16mm once; and the one line that trips buyers up, the bracelet taper, is quoted below so it cannot be mistaken for a lug width.

The chart, both watches verbatim

Scope stated up front: 2 watches charted out of a 3-product catalog; the clock is excluded because it has no lugs. No width below is inferred from case size, backfilled from a retailer, or read off a lug-to-lug figure.

Two rows is the whole honest chart. A 3-SKU brand with two watches does not get padded to look bigger; if Sher adds a second watch line, this page changes shape, and the feed is the detector for that [1].

20mm, said twice by the watch itself

The Sher x TWP Ltd Edition Dive Watch is a 300-piece collaboration, and its product page prints the width in two places. The specification block reads 20mm lug width (industry-standard, strap-friendly), the parenthetical being the brand telling you it chose the size so ordinary straps fit [3]. The FAQ dimensions block prints 20mm lug width again, a second attestation on the same first-party page [3]. Two prints, one number: any standard 20mm two-piece strap or 20mm NATO on ordinary spring bars is the correct buy. Availability was checked fresh at build time and the watch was in stock at the brand's own store, 1 October 2026; a 300-piece edition that sells through ends the row, not the chart.

16mm, and the three numbers that are not widths

The kids watch's specification run is a single sentence carrying four millimetre figures [4][5]: 32mm diameter, 9mm thickness, 16mm lug width, 37.5mm lug to lug (interleaved with the case material and water resistance). Exactly one of those is a strap size. The 32mm is the case diameter, the 9mm is thickness, the 37.5mm is the lug-to-lug length, and only the figure printed after lug width is what a strap buyer needs: 16mm. This matters here more than usual, because kids-watch straps are where the generic advice is weakest. A parent measuring the case at 32mm and buying an 18mm strap because it is the smallest size the shop stocks has bought a strap two sizes too big; the quick-release spring bars on this watch take a 16mm strap and nothing wider. One state to know: all three colour variants, Neutral Grey, Blue and Pink, were sold out at the brand's store when this chart was built, 1 October 2026 [1]; the specification is first-party and the row stands.

The taper line, quoted so it cannot fool anyone

The dive watch page contains exactly one line that a careless reader turns into a wrong purchase: Stainless steel bracelet tapering from 20mm to 16mm for comfort and classic dive-watch proportions [3]. Read it as written. It describes the factory bracelet, which is 20mm wide at the spring bars and narrows to 16mm at the clasp. It is not a lug width, it is not a second size the watch accepts, and the 16mm in it is a coincidence of the same number appearing in the kids watch's genuine lug width. A buyer who skims that line and orders a 16mm strap for the dive watch has ordered a strap four sizes too small. The taper has a practical use once understood: it is the classic 20/16 proportion, so a replacement two-piece strap with a 20mm to 16mm taper is the factory shape, and a straight 20mm strap fits the lugs but wears flatter than the original. The watch strap taper chart decodes this notation across brands.

Why the clock is not in the table

The third product in the feed is the Sher Easy Read clock for home and schools, and it appears on this page only to be excluded [1][6]. It is a wall clock: no lugs, no spring bars, no strap, and its product page prints no lug width anywhere. Charting it would be padding, and this catalog is small enough that honesty about scope is the whole value of the page. For everything else in the brand universe, the watch band size chart carries Sher beside every other brand charted here, and the lug width chart by brand holds the expanded per-model table.

How this chart was checked

The merchant feed was re-pulled fresh at build time, 3 products with page 2 returning an empty products array [1][2], so the catalog had not grown a second watch line since research. Every quotation in the table and text above was then machine-matched as a contiguous verbatim run, tags stripped and whitespace normalised, against a fresh render of the product page it cites, before this page was written. The kids watch's four millimetre figures were swept so that 9, 16, 32 and 37.5 are the only numbers on the page, ruling out a nearest-number misread. The sold-out state of every kids colourway and the in-stock state of the dive watch were read from the same fresh pull and date-stamped in the text. No width was taken from the bracelet taper line, and no width was taken from any lug-to-lug figure, in either direction. The watchbands.ai brand index, re-pulled fresh with its Seiko, Citizen and Rolex controls firing, does not list Sher [7].
