Fitbit Versa Band Size by Model

Every Versa ever made is a 40mm-class squircle, and almost none of them share bands. The band size question has two answers that get confused with each other: the width in millimeters that a replacement band must be, and the wrist range that Fitbit's own S/L bands fit. Both are below, per model. If you came from the watch world, note this up front: Versas do not use ordinary watch lugs, so generic 22mm watch bands do not fit either generation without model-specific adapters.

Band width by Versa model

Two fine points on the 22mm group. The band itself is a 22mm band on quick-release pins, but the pins are a fraction longer than generic ones: owners replacing bars report the Versa 1/2 lug spacing runs closer to 23mm, which is why pin sellers list Versa pins as 23mm. Buy bands listed for your model and this never matters. And do not confuse the Versa line with the Charge line at all; Charge bands use a completely different latch and nothing swaps across.

Official wrist ranges: the S/L bands in the box

Fitbit ships both sizes in the box with every Versa, so "which size band" is really "which of the two do I put on". The ranges by generation, from Fitbit's own documentation:

Both sizes genuinely fit a 7-7.1" wrist, that overlap is deliberate. Below 7.1" use Small, above it Large, and if you are exactly on the line, the Large's extra length lives harmlessly in the keeper. To find your number without guessing, measure with the wrist measuring guide or the no-tape paper method.

Which band style for which Versa

• Silicone sport bands are the default: cheap everywhere, model-specific connectors, and the sweat-friendly option for workouts.
• Woven nylon and stretch fabric run lighter and breathe better for sleep wear; they also adjust across a wider wrist range than holed bands.
• Leather moves a Versa toward office-acceptable; third-party leather bands come in both connector families, so the width rule still applies.
• Milanese mesh and link bracelets need the magnetic or clasp closure to be model-correct; on the 24mm group especially, stick to bands listed for Versa 3/4 or Sense.
• Perlon and NATO styles exist for Versas with model-specific adapters. Length logic is the same as classic NATOs: see the NATO strap length guide.

The Versa 3 vs Versa 4 compatibility trap

Here is the single most expensive confusion in Versa band buying. The official position, and the PCMag hands-on at launch, is that Versa 3, Versa 4, Sense, and Sense 2 all use the same 24mm strap system and interchange freely. In practice, some band retailers report that Versa 3-era third-party bands can seat loosely in a Versa 4 and pop loose under load, and they sell slightly revised "Versa 4 / Sense 2" versions. The safe rule: bands from Fitbit itself interchange across the whole 24mm group without question; third-party bands are lowest-risk when the listing names your exact model, and any band that needs convincing to click in gets returned, not trusted. A band that releases mid-run is how watches get lost.

The reverse trap is cheaper to avoid: Apple Watch bands do not fit any Versa. Apple uses a slide-in lock, Fitbit a quick-release pin, and adapters between the two are unreliable.
