Farer band size chart by model

Farer prints a Dimensions block on every watch page of its own store: Diameter, Depth, Lug-to-Lug, Pin-to-Pin and Lug Width, in that order [11] [36]. That block is the whole basis of this chart: all 38 watches in the current catalog were re-pulled from usd.farer.com at build time, farer.com serves the same pages priced in GBP, and every figure below is the number Farer itself prints [1]. The short version: Farer is a 20mm company. Thirty of the 38 current models print Lug Width 20mm, three 35mm cushion cases print 18mm [4] [14] [24], and the five Integra chronographs print 24mm on integrated lugs [7] [8] [33] [37]. No current Farer prints 21, 22 or 23mm, which is unusual and convenient: one 20mm strap pool serves almost the whole brand.

Quick answers: the Lander IV, Venture, Resolute III, Alert and Aurora are 20mm. The Endeavour and Hecla Aqua Compressors are 20mm despite 41.5mm cases. The Foxe, Thorne and Roche World Timers are 20mm. The Nevada GMT Bezels are 20mm in both 38mm and 40mm cases. The Lissom dress pair is 20mm. The 35mm cushions (Belzoni, Furneaux, Marsden) are 18mm. The Integra chronographs (Cuprum, Tenebris, Viridis, Perlarum) are 24mm and integrated. Retired models like the Discovery GMT, Oxley GMT, Bernina, Mansfield and Segrave were 20mm; see the archive table.

Why lug-to-lug and pin-to-pin both matter on a Farer

Farer is one of the few brands at any price that prints both length figures for every watch, and they are not the same number. Lug-to-lug is the case measured tip to tip over the lugs; pin-to-pin is the distance between the spring bars, which is the strap window plus the case middle, and it runs two to four millimeters shorter on Farer cases [1] [29]. For wrist fit, lug-to-lug is the number that decides whether a watch overhangs a flat wrist, which our lug-to-lug guide covers in depth. Pin-to-pin matters for something else: head-only straps and pass-through designs, where the strap must span the pin-to-pin distance, not the lug-to-lug. Note the gap row: seven current models print a dash where the pin-to-pin figure would sit, the five Integras and the Maze III and Crooms III GMT Bezel chronographs [6] [8] [25]. A dash is not a zero; it means Farer does not publish the figure for those cases.

The Integra exception: 24mm, and not really a strap size

Everything else in the current range takes a standard strap, but the Integra line does not. The five Integra watches, Cuprum, the Cuprum Eastern Arabic limited edition, Tenebris, Viridis and Perlarum, are 38.5mm cushion-cased chronographs whose lugs flow straight into the strap line [7] [8] [33] [37] [28]. Their product pages print Lug Width 24mm, but each ships as an integrated steel bracelet or an integrated rubber strap, and the watch-page variant lists say both straps are included in the box [8]. A generic 24mm two-piece strap does not reproduce the factory look because there are no visible spring-bar gaps to fill; the aftermarket for this case exists, but the strap must be made for the integrated mount. The same caveat applies in softer form to three of the Racing Chronographs: the Gara, Libre and Volante list an Integrated Green, Burgundy or Blue Rubber Strap as one of their factory options alongside standard leather [15] [22] [38], but those watches keep standard 20mm lugs for the leather and Milanese options, so the integrated rubber is a styling choice, not a compatibility wall.

The 18mm club and the case-size trap

Three current watches print 18mm: the Belzoni, Furneaux and Marsden, all 35mm cushion cases [4] [14] [24]. The trap is assuming case size predicts width elsewhere in the range, because at Farer it mostly does not. The 38.5mm Benham and Lethbridge cushions take 20mm [5] [21], the 41.5mm titanium Aqua Compressors still take 20mm [11] [16], and the only width break in the entire non-Integra catalog is the 35mm boundary. In the same spirit, the two Lander sizes, 36mm and 39.5mm, both print 20mm [18] [20], so downsizing the case does not downsize the strap. If your Farer is not in the chart, measure the gap as shown in our lug width chart before ordering; do not interpolate from case size.

What Farer's own strap shop confirms

The brand's strap and bracelet pages name the cases they fit rather than a raw width, which is its own kind of cross-check [50] [51] [52]. The 40mm GMT Bezel Steel Bracelet fits the 40mm GMT Bezel cases, and there is a separate 38mm version for the smaller Nevada [50] [51]; the Classic Steel Bracelet is listed for 39mm and 39.5mm watches and a separate SKU serves 36mm watches [52] [53]; the World Timer bracelet fits World Timer cases [54]; the Cushion Case Steel Bracelet with butterfly clasp fits Cushion Case and Moonphase models [55]; and the Aqua Compressor titanium bracelet with the clam clasp serves the compressor divers [56]. Every suede, Granolo, St. Venere, rubber and Milanese strap the store sells is a quick-release 20mm fit for those same cases. What the store does not sell is anything marked for the Integras or the 35mm cushions, which tells you the same thing the product pages do: those two branches of the family tree live outside the standard 20mm pool.

Archive: retired models and their strap sizes

Farer retires models wholesale and pulls their product pages, so the first-party rail goes dark for them; the URLs redirect to the all-watches listing, and a search that lands on an old address will show the store front, not the watch. The table below carries every retired model with a corroborated width record, from the WatchIntel spec encyclopedia, and it is flagged as exactly that: corroborated rather than first-party [57] [62] [64]. Treat these rows as strong evidence, not manufacturer print. The Hudson and Belgrave era watches and the early World Timer limited editions have no width record that survives corroboration, and they are deliberately absent rather than approximated.

The pattern in the archive matches the pattern today, with one instructive wrinkle. Almost everything is 20mm, from the 36mm Resolute and Discovery variants through the 38 to 39.5mm dress and field watches to the 41mm chronographs and GMTs [59] [63] [64]. The wrinkle is twofold: the earlier Integra generation carried the same 24mm integrated lugs as the current one [92] [93], and the retired Milan, a 35mm tonneau, took 20mm, so a 35mm case is not automatically an 18mm fit across Farer history [85]. If you own a retired Farer and the model is not in the table, the safest assumption is 20mm on a full-size case, but measure before buying.
