Duckworth Prestex band size chart: one brand, two widths, and the one line the chronograph pages never print

Duckworth Prestex is the Sheffield micro brand behind the Prestex name, art nouveau Bolton numerals, rectangular Parkers and 200m Belmont divers. Its strap system is almost boring in the best way: 20mm for one pool of families, 22mm for another, nothing else. The catch is where each half is documented. The 20mm watches print Lug Width: 20mm in their own spec blocks; the 22mm watches print no width line at all, and their width lives in the fitting sentences of the brand's own strap pages. This chart tables both halves, word for word, from the duckworthprestex.com merchant feed, 210 products, page two empty [1][2].

The chart, family by family

Every quoted line below is copied exactly from the brand's own product copy. Where a watch page prints the width, the quote is that spec line; where it does not, the quote is the strap-page fitting sentence that carries the width instead, and the Basis column says so.

The 22mm disclosure, stated plainly

Here is the asymmetry that makes this chart necessary. Render the Verimatic page and the width is right there: Lug Width: 20mm, printed three times over in the spec block [3]. Render the Chronograph 42, Belmont or Rivington pages and there is no lug width line at all and no 22mm anywhere in the visible text; each page was pulled fresh at build time to confirm exactly that [12][14]. The 22mm for those three families rests entirely on first-party strap-fitting sentences: the Oceania Blue suede page's 22mm for Chronograph 42, Belmont and Rivington [9], the Horween leather pages' 22mm fits Chrono42, Belmont, Rivington [13], the rubber strap page's 22 mm lug width for the 42mm Chronograph model s , the Belmont and Rivington GMT [15], and two bracelet pages that name their watches outright [18][14]. The one Prestex that closes the loop watch-side is the Valjoux 7750, whose own page prints Lug Width 22mm and 22mm lug width [16]. A dealer repeats the fragment Choose 22mm for the Chronograph and 20mm for the Verimatic on one strap listing [19]; that is a partial third-party echo, not the rail.

The brand's own strap catalogue says it twice over

Duckworth Prestex sells its straps on the same store, and the fitting sentences on those pages encode the full family mapping. Two of them, verbatim:

Strap productFitting sentence, verbatimSource
Oceania Blue Suede Italian Leather Strap20mm for Verimatic, Bolton, Parker, Coronation and Centenary 22mm for Chronograph 42, Belmont and Rivington Lug width: 20 mm and 22mm[9]

Black Horween Genuine Leather Strap20mm fits Verimatic, Bolton, Coronation, Centenary 22mm fits Chrono42, Belmont, Rivington[13]
Fine Mesh bracelet with adjustable clasp20mm for the Centenary Bolton, Verimatic and Coronation models 22mm for Belmont, Rivington, Chrono42 models To fit Lug width: 20 mm or 22mm[18]
Mesh bracelet 22mm with folding clasp22mm lug width designed to fit the Chronograph 42 model.[12]
Link bracelet 22mm with folding clasp22mm lug width designed to fit the Rivington and the Belmont Models.[14]
Rubber straps for LOSTOCK and BROADGATELug width: 20 mm[11]

Note what the rubber and Horween sentences disagree on, because it is harmless once you see it: the deployment-buckle rubber page leaves Lostock out of its 20mm list while the pin-buckle rubber page includes it, and no sentence lists California 24 and the Parkers all at once. Every family still lands on exactly one width across every sentence that names it, and the Lostock and Broadgate get their own 20mm product page with curved end pieces [11].

The traps: lug-to-lug everywhere, taper at the buckle

Duckworth Prestex copy prints length-over-lugs measurements constantly, 150 of them across the feed: Lug to Lug length: 46.5mm on the same Bolton and Verimatic pages that print the 20mm width [8], Case Dimensions: 24mm by 31mm (lug to lug 40mm) on the Parkers. None of those numbers is a strap width, and none was allowed to set one here. The second trap runs the other direction: the Horween strap pages print Taper: 4mm and suede pages across the catalogue print tapers to 18mm at the buckle end, seven occurrences feed-wide. A 22mm Horween strap is 18mm at the buckle, so if you want the factory look on a Chronograph 42, order 22mm tapered, not straight 22mm; the same logic makes the brand's 20mm suede a 20/16. The watch strap taper chart decodes that second number in listings like 20/16.

Buying notes

Three consequences fall out of the rail. First, the two pools share nothing: a Verimatic owner buying straps for a Belmont owner's wrist buys the wrong gift, 20 versus 22. Second, the Lostock Chronograph and Broadgate GMT take 20mm at the lugs but their factory rubbers have curved end pieces made only for them, and the brand warns those straps fit no other watch [11]; straight 20mm straps fit fine, the factory silhouette does not transfer. Third, quick-release spring bars are standard across the brand's own straps, so no tools are needed for the swap. Once the width is settled, the lug width chart by brand places Duckworth Prestex beside its neighbors, and the spring bar sizes page covers the bars underneath.

How this chart was checked

Every quoted line was re-pulled from the live duckworthprestex.com merchant feed at build time, 210 products on one page with page two empty [1][2], tag-stripped and matched verbatim before tabulating. The Chronograph 42, Belmont and Rivington product pages were each rendered fresh at build time to confirm the absence their rows disclose [12][14]. No dealer, retailer or aggregator page contributed a width; the watchbands.ai brand index was re-checked the same way and its census of 193 brands does not list Duckworth Prestex [20].
