DONE Watches band size chart: six Mechanica families, three widths, every page rendered

DONE Watches is a young Swiss brand whose entire catalog is one line, Mechanica, split into six families wearing three strap widths: 18, 20 and 22mm [19]. There is no chart on the brand's own site, the merchant feed the shop exposes prints no lug width on any of its 83 products, watch or strap, and the French-labeled strap shop writes sizes as pairs like 20/18MM that trip careless readers into buying the wrong width. So this page tables all 18 live watches, every width copied from the watch's own specification block, rendered fresh, and decodes the strap notation beside it.

The chart, all eighteen watches verbatim

Scope stated up front: 18 watches charted, which is every live watch handle in the store sitemap. The sitemap also lists a superluminova handle beyond the straps; it is not a watch but a luminous-pigment material listing (dead at the research and build pulls, serving again at verification), and it is excluded [19]. No width below is inferred from case size, read off a lug-to-lug figure, or taken from a strap title.

Eighteen rows is the whole catalog. If a nineteenth watch appears, the sitemap is the detector and this page changes shape [19].

Three widths by family letter

The family letter, not the model number, holds the answer. B is the 22mm pair, titanium cased hand-wound watches on a modified ETA 6497-1 [1]. C is the 20mm four, automatic on the Sellita SW400-1 [3]. The Chrono nine-in-ten shares the 20mm width on its Joux-Perret L111 [7]. F is the third 20mm family, Soprod P024 skeleton automatics [16]. D and E are the 18mm eight: D on the Sellita SW200-1 [8], E on the Soprod P024 skeleton [12]. A buyer who knows only the word Mechanica knows nothing about the strap; the letter does all the work.

The case-size pattern, stated honestly

Across this catalog the width does track the case: the 35mm D and E families take 18mm, the 40mm C, F and Chrono take 20mm, and the 43.80mm B takes 22mm [2][8]. That regularity is a convenience, not a rule to shop by, for two reasons. First, the buyer of a young brand holds a family letter and a reference, not a caliper measurement, and nothing on the caseback says 18 or 20. Second, the strap shop's notation, decoded below, is the surface where 18 and 20 get swapped every day. Two quirks worth knowing: the E02 product page carries the long handle elegance-et-precision-suisse [13], and the F02 page's own metadata titles it MECHANICS F02, a brand typo in the page data, not a different model [17].

The strap shop speaks French and writes tapers

DONE's strap shop lists its straps with paired numbers, and this is the trap the chart exists for. The English page for the 20mm leather strap is titled BLACK LEATHER - 20/18MM - STEEL PIN BUCKLE [20]. On the French storefront the same strap is titled CUIR NOIR - 20/18MM - ARDILLON ACIER [20]. Read the pair as taper notation: the first number is the width at the lug end, the second is the width at the buckle. The crocodile leather series carries the title BLACK CROCODILE-EMBOSSED LEATHER WITH BLACK STITCHING - 22/18MM - NO BUCKLE, which is the B-family strap: 22mm at the lugs, 18mm at the buckle [20]. The satin series is titled BLACK SATIN - 18/16MM - STEEL PIN BUCKLE, the D and E strap: 18mm at the lugs, 16mm at the buckle [20]. The first numbers of the three series, 22, 20 and 18, are exactly the three widths the watches print. The second numbers, 18 and 16, are tapers and never widths; a D owner who buys a 20/18 strap because it says 18 has bought a strap two sizes too big. The watch strap taper chart covers this notation across brands.

Lug-to-lug is a length, not a width

Every specification block prints a lug-to-lug figure directly above the lug width: Lug-to-lug: 51.60mm on the B pair, 48.80mm on the C and F families, 48.70mm on the Chrono, 43.70mm on D and E [1][3]. These are case lengths, the distance between lug tips, and no strap is ever sized by them. They are tabled above for fit context only. The Chrono block carries one more number to be careful with, Case thickness: 14.20mm (9.25mm without ice); neither 14.20 nor 9.25 is a strap size [7].

The feed carries no width text at all

The brand's merchant feed returns 83 products with page 2 empty: 18 watches and 65 straps [20]. Not one of the 83 entries prints a lug width anywhere in its data, watch or strap; the strap titles carry the taper pairs, and the watch entries carry no width field at all. The rendered product page is therefore the only first-party machine-checkable width source, which is why this chart was built page by page, and why the sitemap, not the feed, is the catalog detector [19].

How this chart was checked

At build time, 1 October 2026, all 18 live watch pages were rendered fresh, one by one, and the family split re-derived from the renders before this page was written: two watches at 22mm, eight at 20mm (four C, three F, the Chrono), eight at 18mm (four D, four E), matching the research census with zero drift. The brand intermittently serves a consent interstitial to automated pulls; at build time every fresh pull carried the full specification block, and the interstitial marker string was verified to sit inside a page widget even when content serves, so its absence of interference is what was checked, not its absence from the HTML. Two handles were pulled a second time immediately before publish, one 22mm B and one 18mm D, and both re-printed their widths. Every quotation above was machine-matched as a contiguous run against the render it cites. No width was taken from a strap title, a taper pair, or a lug-to-lug figure, in either direction. The watchbands.ai brand index, re-pulled fresh with its Seiko, Citizen and Rolex controls firing, does not list DONE or donewatches [21]. For the brand universe around it, the watch band size chart carries DONE beside every other brand charted here, and the lug width chart by brand holds the expanded per-model table.
