Beaucroft band size chart: two widths on the straps, four on the watches
Beaucroft is a small British brand with a tidy catalog: seven families, 29 watches and five strap products, all readable off one 33-product merchant feed with page two empty [1][2]. The width system looks like two numbers and is really two documentation systems. The strap side says everything at once: 18mm Compatible with: Senate, Seeker, Signature range 20mm Compatible with: Element range, printed word for word on all four Horween strap pages [3]. The watch side says it one family at a time, in spec blocks the feed never carries and only the rendered pages show. This chart tables both sides, and it flags the three families the strap sentence never mentions at all.
The chart, range by range
Every quoted line is copied exactly from the brand's own pages, feed or rendered, and nothing was backfilled. Where a family has no width line anywhere, the row says so instead of guessing.
| Range | Strap width | Verbatim line | Basis | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Element, all editions (39.5mm) | 20mm | 46.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm-16mm Tapered bracelet | watch spec block, rendered | [4] [5] [6] |
| Seeker, all editions (37mm) | 18mm | 42.5mm lug to lug - 18mm strap | watch spec block, rendered | [7] [8] |
| Signature, all editions (40mm) | 18mm | 45mm lug to lug - 18mm strap | watch spec block, rendered | [9] [10] |
| Senate Red Lion (40mm) | 18mm | 45mm lug to lug - 18mm strap | watch spec block, rendered | [11] |
| Arc, all colors (38mm) | 20mm | 43.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm strap width | watch spec block, rendered; not named in the strap sentence | [12] [13] |
| Contour GMT, both editions (39.5mm) | 20mm | The links taper from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm | watch bracelet prose, rendered; not named in the strap sentence | [14] |
| Rebel Red BWD Special (39.5mm) | 20mm | 46.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm-16mm Tapered bracelet | Element spec block shared verbatim, rendered | [15] |
| Horween straps, 18mm option | 18mm | 18mm (for Seeker/Signature/Senate ranges) | strap variant menu, rendered | [16] |
| Horween straps, 20mm option | 20mm | 20mm (for Element range) | strap variant menu, rendered | [16] |
| Silver Steel Mesh Strap | 18mm | Suitable for Seeker and Signature watch models. | strap product body, feed | [17] |
Read the table as 29 watches behind seven rows. Element covers eight listed editions plus the Penfold limited edition [6]; Seeker covers seven, including the Teal Black Edition and the retired White, Ice Blue, Mint, Deep Blue and Teal; Signature covers four, all currently marked retired; Senate is the single Red Lion, also retired. The widths do not change with edition status: the retired Seekers and Signatures carry the same 18mm spec lines as the current ones [8][10].
The same mapping, printed three ways by the brand itself
What makes this chart safe to build is that Beaucroft documents the split independently on three surfaces, and all three agree. First, the four Horween strap pages carry the compatibility sentence, twice over on each page:
| Strap page | Fitting sentence, verbatim | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Teal Dark Green Horween Strap - Navy Blue stitching | 18mm Compatible with: Senate, Seeker, Signature range 20mm Compatible with: Element range | [3] |
| Dark Brown Horween Strap - Brown stitching | 18mm Compatible with: Senate, Seeker, Signature range 20mm Compatible with: Element range | [18] |
| Natural Tan Horween Leather Strap | 18mm Compatible with: Senate, Seeker, Signature range 20mm Compatible with: Element range | [19] |
| Black Horween Leather Strap | 18mm Compatible with: Senate, Seeker, Signature range 20mm Compatible with: Element range | [20] |
Second, every one of those strap pages sells the widths as named variant options, and the option labels carry the mapping in brackets: 18mm (for Seeker/Signature/Senate ranges) and 20mm (for Element range), three buckle finishes each [16]. Third, the watch side: the Element pages print 46.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm-16mm Tapered bracelet [4] and the Seeker, Signature and Senate pages print 18mm strap inside their spec lines [7][9][11]. Feed, variant menu, rendered watch page: three surfaces, one answer, 18 and 20.
What the strap sentence never says
Three families are absent from the compatibility sentence: the Arc, the Contour GMT and the Rebel Red BWD Special. None was guessed onto a width. Each was instead rendered fresh at build time, and each carries its own watch-side line. The Arc is the plainest width statement in the catalog, 43.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm strap width [12]. The Contour GMT prints its bracelet taper, The links taper from 20mm at the lugs to 16mm [14]. The Rebel Red BWD Special reuses the Element spec block word for word, 46.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm-16mm Tapered bracelet [15]. All three land on 20mm watch-side; none is covered by the brand's own 18mm strap products, which is worth knowing before ordering (see below).
The taper, and the strap you can actually buy in 20mm
Two numbers hide behind every Beaucroft strap. The Horween pages state the taper outright: Our Horween Chromexcel have a 2mm taper from the watch lugs down to the buckle, and also feature quick-release spring-bars. [3] So the 18mm straps are 16mm at the buckle, the 20mm options are 18mm at the buckle, and the quick-release spring bars mean no tools for the swap. The factory bracelets taper the same way: Element and Rebel links run from 20mm down to 16mm at the buckle [4]. The watch strap taper chart decodes the two-number listings this produces.
The buying wrinkle: at build time, every 20mm option on every Horween strap page was the 18mm option's opposite in stock, sold out across all four straps and all three buckle finishes, while the 18mm options were largely in stock [16]. An Element or Arc owner buying factory leather may be waiting on restock or buying third party; the lug width chart by brand places Beaucroft beside its neighbors either way, and the spring bar sizes page covers the bars the quick-release system replaces.
The trap: lug-to-lug printed everywhere, width printed once
Beaucroft copy loves the length-over-lugs number. The feed carries it on nearly every watch: At 40mm in diameter size, a compact lug-to-lug of 45mm and just 10mm thick across the Signature family [10], At 37mm in size, compact lug-to-lug of 42.5mm and 10mm thick across the Seekers [8]. Those 45 and 42.5mm figures are wrist-fit numbers, not strap sizes, and none was allowed to set a width here; every width above comes from a strap or taper token only. The one trap that bites in the other direction is the Element spec line itself: 46.5mm Lug-Lug 20mm-16mm Tapered bracelet [4]. Read fast, the first number after the lug length looks like the width; it is the bracelet's lug-end width, and the 16mm behind it is the clasp end. If a listing shows your Beaucroft as 45mm or 42.5mm wide at the strap, that seller is quoting lug-to-lug.
How this chart was checked
The merchant feed was re-pulled fresh at build time, 33 products with page two empty [1][2], and every quoted rail above was matched verbatim as a contiguous run of text in the feed body or a rendered page, tags stripped. Nine product pages were rendered fresh for the watch-side lines, two families deep on each side of the 18/20 split [4][7]. Coverage is disclosed rather than padded: the width rail for the mapped families rests on five strap-product sentences plus rendered watch spec lines, the Arc and Contour GMT are watch-side only, and no family without a printed width was assigned one. The catalog basis is the complete feed, so a family not in the table means it was not in the feed, not that it was skipped. No dealer or aggregator page contributed a width; the Time+Tide shop echo of the strap sentence [21] is cited as a partial third-party signal only, and the watchbands.ai brand index, re-pulled at build time with its Seiko, Citizen and Rolex controls firing, does not list Beaucroft at all [22].
